Early in my "professional" career, I spent a fair amount of time working as a tech writer, the benefit of this being that I developed a decent command of the English language. This has served me well over the years. As a fairly famous surf fisherman on Long Island for over 40 years, I have written many articles for online sport fishing publications, as well as providing content on the subject to the over 20K subscribers to my YouTube channel "The View From The Beach" (@richtroxler).

I have also published a 247 page book, the cover of which is shown on the left, that is available worldwide on Amazon and will soon be available at Barnes and Noble. It is a book of stories based on the experiences of myself, and my long time friend, Billy "the Greek" Legakis" during our combined eight plus years of fishing striped bass from the nine west end bridges of Long Island's south shore. I'm also in the process of writing several other books, one on fishing, and a fiction series, (book one of a political action / adventure series).

The audio short stories that I present to you here, are for your enjoyment. This first one is entitled "Last Man Standing" and is a fictional story on how a small New England town deals with American Indian mysticism. I've always had a special interest in native American culture and I've even gone so far as to story-board a second part to this story, just in case I one day decide to turn it into a full length novel. The problem is time, because both novels I'm working on require a lot of research.

This next story is entitled "The Sound Of Fall Running" and chronicles the events of my early life growing up in Milford, CT. While it reveals my introduction to fishing and the impact it made on my life, the story is really about a series of life lessons, trials and tribulations, and of an unlikely friendship that developed along the way. Basically, the type of things that most kids go through when their age moves into double digits.
